Earthquake-Resistant Living in CLT: The Future Begins in Harkstede, Groningen!
At Urban Climate Architects, we are shaping the future of sustainable and innovative construction. On November 19, 2024, we began building a remarkable CLT home in Harkstede, Groningen, in collaboration with JM Concepten B.V.. This home is not only a beacon of sustainability but also a model of safety, specifically designed to withstand earthquakes.
Thanks to CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber), construction is progressing rapidly—the outlines of the house are already in place! In close partnership with Timmerfabriek Mari Jacobs BV, the windows are being installed directly during the CLT assembly. This smart process ensures maximum efficiency and exceptional quality.
In Harkstede, Groningen, the future is taking shape—where innovation and sustainability come together to create a safer and more beautiful living environment.
