Conceptual harmony with nature

Nestled by the serene lake at Paterswolde, the Pavilion of De Dame draws inspiration from the morning mist that gently lifts above the water, weaving through the trees. The design embodies this concept, creating a structure that feels like a natural extension of its surroundings—amist that settles gently on the land before rising into the sky.

Seamless integration

The Pavilion is designed to blend effortlessly with its environment. Its minimalist, glass façade provides unobstructed views ofthe picturesque landscape, making the building appear almost invisible. The glass exterior ensures that the structure remains light and airy, while th einterior facilities are discreetly contained.

Innovative design

Floating above the ground, the Pavilion's unique shape—curving upwards at the edges—creates a magical, ethereal quality. The windows, in varying sizes and shapes, contribute to a dynamic visual experience, reminiscent of a musical composition. When not in use, the windows fold away to invite the natural surroundings into the space.

Harmonious transition

The Pavilion’s paved terrace merges seamlessly with the natural landscape, facilitating a smooth transition from the built environment to the pristine natural setting. The untouched shores maintain local biodiversity, preserving the area’s ecological balance.

Thoughtful construction

Despite its seemingly effortless design, the Pavilion’s construction was meticulously planned. The construction system and grid intentionally diverge from the window patterns to emphasize a deliberate disconnection, illustrating how breaking conventional rules can result in extraordinary
