At Urban Climate Architects, we are working on the design of Ringpass Delft's new sports complex. Together with Fokkema & Partners (interior), SMNL architects (exterior and overall design), Eric Luiten and BAS sport, a place is created where sport, nature and sustainability reinforce each other.
Our goal is clear: to create an inspiring and hospitable environment for athletes, visitors, children from the BSO and local residents — a place that brims with energy, connection and movement.
Designed from wood, light and space
The design exudes warmth and craftsmanship. Large wooden overhangs provide shelter in any type of weather and play smartly with sunlight: shade in summer, warmth in winter. The visible wooden construction and biobased materials provide a natural, sustainable look.
In harmony with nature
The clubhouse forms a whole with its surroundings. Surrounded by green areas, biodiverse plants and walking routes, indoor and outdoor areas blend seamlessly. The green roof, solar panels and natural ventilation enhance the ecological value and reduce energy consumption.
A vibrant heart for sports and encounters
More than just a clubhouse — this will be a vibrant meeting place for sports, relaxation and education. With plenty of daylight, natural materials and space for after-school care, the building feels open, warm and contemporary.
Building the future together
In cooperation with the Municipality of Delft, Ringpass will have a future-proof complex where sustainability, sports and community come together. Construction will start in 2026 — but the energy is already being felt.
