Nieuwegein, located just south of Utrecht, offers the ideal balance for those seeking proximity to the city without the high costs. Our goal was to develop a densely populated residential project that both respects the local context and offers an easy connection to the bustling center of Utrecht.

Urban Renewal and Quality of Life Improvement

The redevelopment of the Station Area in Nieuwegein aims to create a vibrant, attractive and sustainable city center. The plan includes the construction of a modern tram and bus hub, supplemented with homes and improved infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists.

Green, Sustainable and Innovative

The project meets the highest standards for circular construction, nature-inclusive design and climate-adaptive construction. This is reflected in the public areas, private roof gardens and innovative water management solutions. Green roofs help with water buffering and use wood as a structural element. Despite the high density of the project, the area's greenery is being increased by up to 75% by means of green facades, roof gardens, courtyards and ground floor greenery.

The Nieuwegein Station Area: A New Boost

The redevelopment of the Station area in Nieuwegein is underway, with the west side now in the spotlight after the successful development of the east side. The previous transformation brought the modern Cityplaza shopping center, homes and the new city hall.

The revitalization of the west side, with the project The New Citizen, focuses on green spaces, resulting in a 75% increase in green in the area. The central location, both in Nieuwegein and in the heart of the Netherlands, reinforces the appeal of this new neighborhood.
