In the area between the historic center and the station area of Deventer, a remarkable transformation is taking place at Pikeursbaan 9-11 and Verzetslaan 30, where existing office buildings are being redeveloped into a contemporary mix of homes, workplaces and public functions.

Topping as a smart strategy for densification

Topping up, where extra floors are added, creates a future-proof building that responds to the growing need for inner-city densification. This extension is carefully tailored to the existing architecture, so that old and new blend seamlessly.
